I was extremely frustrated with the director at this facility. Just days before we were going to move our mom there, the director tried to change the prices multiple times. I'm relieved that they revealed their true intentions before we moved our mother there, and I believe this is a regular practice for this facility. If you decide to use this facility, I advise you to obtain all pricing and care plans in writing. Make sure to thoroughly review their documents well ahead of confirming the transition for your loved one.
I moved my mom into the memory care community at Silver Comet Village recently. First of all, Melanie (the ED) immediately provided support and commitment to just get my mom prepared to move to the community. The dedication and commitment has remained steadfast. Melanie and her team have continued to amaze me with their care and support. Not only has my mom found her community, so have I.
I just wanted to thank you all again for everything that you did to help me these last few weeks. It meant a lot to know that Mom was so well taken care of. The alert that I received the night the paramedics were called was within minutes of the incident. The front desk response to the Life Alert summons from my Mom was within a minute. These are very responsible people who take their jobs and the care of our loved ones seriously. Silver Comet Village is a wonderful place. I was looking for a place for my mother. I walked in and met Mary Jasper. She made me feel welcomed. She gave me a tour of the building and the apartments that were available. She was knowledgeable and personable. My initial visit to evaluate Silver Comet Village was wonderful, as ALL staff & residents were very friendly & helpful. MARY JASPER is an A+ EMPLOYEE who helped me navigate the system, “always available & wanting to help” & states “I LOVE MY JOB!” I am truly enjoying living here!!!!!❤️
