After my second visit with Dr. Puma, I like her more, and I'm even more grateful to have her for my GP. She treats me like an adult, she discusses options with me, and she doesn't hesitate to tell me (in clear layman's language) how I can better contribute to my own health care. She is totally terrific and one of the two superior GPs I've had in my long 82 years. FIVE STARS!!!
Dr Puma is very, very through with her exams, medications & medical history. We are happy to have a PCP that will continue to care for us, with great concern. I think the nurse alerted to Dr.Pumathat I was a wreck because of a scam. Dr. Puma was very nice asi talked about what happened, and calmed me down. She recommended I take a new prescription, low dosage,to help with my anxiety. My pharmacist called her, concerned about medicine I take for seizures since my concussion when I fell from 3rd metal step onto the concrete on the way to the Catscan to assess the small brain bleed, 6 weeks after the stroke . Not really sure it was my first time couldn't understand some of the questions she was asking , why she was asking how much family I had around maybe it was just to get to know but I didn't feel like that. Then she was asking about my anxiety and she put down that I have anxiety I do but not enough to be on medication I have daily things I have to deal with which I do so I wouldn't actually call it anxiety maybe overwhelmed maybe it's a lack of a better word I don't know I think everybody has anxiety one way or another just... read more
Went in for wellness exam and that is exactly what I received. Still relatively new as a patient with the Doc and I am seeing better discussion of my issues which I really enjoy because i get the feeling that the Doc cares and I am not just a number!
