When I arrived Simon Imaging in Pinellas Park the first thing I saw was a renovation on the parking lot had been started and there was nowhere to park. Fortunately I have a mini truck and was able to drive over a dirt Mound to find a spot. I then entered the facility and the place was packed! I found a seat near the front door which at one time was the check in station. The chair was comfy and it had a small desk which was handy for filling ou all the paperwork. Place was clean. Staff were very pleasant and efficient. I took 1 star off because they should post on the website, door, check in, and walls to prohibit colognes & perfumes like most doctors offices do. Or at least supply face masks at check in. I instantly got a migraine walking in because someone's cologne was so strong.

I was scheduled for both an X-ray and a CT scan and had already paid my copay and insurance portion. I had been fasting since the prior day for my 2:00 PM appointment. After waiting over 45 minutes, I was taken for the X-ray, then asked to wait again for the CT. After another 25 minutes, I was told I could not have the CT because iodine was used and the CT should have been done first. SimonMed (formerly Gateway Radiology) is a great spot for X-rays, maybe ultrasound, but definitely NOT MRIs. They run sooo far behind ALWAYS! I've had 2 done there & both times there was "something wrong with the machine" or "the patient before you could not hold still so it took longer". I understand perhaps a 20-40 minute wait for a glitch or two, but over 2½HOURS behind your appointment time is ridiculous! Even getting your taxes done doesn't take that long! I visited the Park Blvd. location. Front office staff weren't overly friendly but we're sufficient. The waiting room was very crowded and smelled bad. My appointment was 2:30. I showed up 2:15. I did not get taken back until almost 3:30. The tech did the job. Not the most friendly and my shirt was covered in jelly when I left which she didn't seem very concerned about.
