I had to get an MRI recently. In the late afternoon, there was no line and the nurse was very friendly. I was given ear plugs and over the ear headphones for noise protection. Everything was sanitized and wrapped. I honestly couldn’t stop laughing for about 15 minutes straight because the MRI sounded like a really uncoordinated daft punk album or kesha song. With double ear protection it appeared to be no louder than someone knocking on a door with 4/10 force. 10/10 loved the beeps and boop noises

The staff is extremely helpful, Courteous, Professional and very kind. However, the process during my MRIs was very chaotic with appointments, scheduling, overcrowding in the waiting room. The wait times… Also the Protection for the MRI machine is basically crap. The earplugs do not stay in the ear nor do They listen the noise. My ears are still ringing and my hearing seems to be damaged 24 hours after my MRI. My visit was on Monday morning. The facility had just changed ownership and the woman at the check in window said I couldn’t get an X-ray that day because of the new computer system and that the X-ray schedule was locked. I said that the prior week I wasn’t able to either because they had no X-ray technician. I added that my doctor needed the X-rays by Thursday (in 3 days). Alternate location for North SDC/South OC. No protective headphones installed at this location. A bit of tinnitus after my MRI today. The foam earplugs didn't work that well. Hopefully no permanent hearing damage. (UPDATE 7 DAYS LATER): They didn't do full imaging study. Only a thin study. No images available in portal after 7 days. Only reports which don't help because Dr can't look at images for reference. Asked for CD. Software on CD didn't work so still didn't have images. Had to reschedule and redo MRI. $100+ copay for ... read more

I was caught in the transition between Silicon Valley MRI and Simon Med Imaging. So far not impressed with either. It took three tries to get an appointment. I have the first appointment of the day for a simple knee x-ray. I waited almost an hour, had to ask numerous times what was wrong. The tech evidently didn't know the procedures and the front office did not know how to get him to see me. I won't go back!
