Everyone was okay from the front desk to the staff performing the mammogram.... however, this was the most painful mammogram I have ever had. I kept feeling I wasn't standing in the right angle or positioned in the way I always was in all my past painless ones. I kept mentioning it didn't feel like I was positioned correctly but she insisted she new what she was doing. She even made a comment that they didn't come out that good but it would be fine. The front office was friendly and efficient both on the phone and in person. They get 5 stars. The radiology tech seemed very laissez-faire about my comfort and safety. I had no hand buzzer to contact her during the first MRI. And my right arm was squashed as I went into the tube. Also each of my arms was touching the sides of the machine. It got very warm. She gets a 3/5 stars.
My experience at Simon Medical was wonderful. My MRI in 2 locations was only about 30 minutes. The receptionist and Kyle, my tech were efficient, helpful and kind. The facility was clean and modern with a cozy feel. Thank you Simon Medical
The entrance to the building was difficult because I didn't know about the elevator in the basement parking. No greeter at the front door and a rather dingy feel to the place. The person in the area was very nice but loudly asked about my medical history while others were present in the waiting room. Imaging was very professional, but once again the dressing room was "tired." These are, I know, just surface things but gave me an impression of a not-so-successful enterprise.
Called day before appointment to make sure a tech would be there the following day. Was told absolutely 9-5. Asked specifically about lunch hour 12-1 and was told absolutely. Showed up next day to be informed I was misinformed. Come back tomorrow, yesterday after 2:30. Showed up waited an hour to go into X-ray room to be informed by tech that he did not have proper machine for X-ray. Simple hip post replacement. He jerry rigged it.
