I had a really frustrating experience at the SimonMed Van Ness location when I went in for a CT coronary scan. When I arrived, they told me they didn’t have my insurance information on file and said they’d have to cancel my appointment—despite the fact that I’d already spent 30 minutes on the phone with them just to get it scheduled. I told them I was fine paying out of pocket and had my doctor’s order form with me. When making the appointment I was not given the address where I was to go to. Called the number and AI message did say the address but it was impassible to understand. We found the address on line. At arrival it was really difficult to know where the entrance door was at, plotter tale in the windows made it look vacant. Please have more clear sings at the entrance . I booked an appointment about a month ago, and this facility assured me they would handle the pre-approval with my insurance. They only started working on the approval just a few days before the appointment—six days out if—even after I had clearly stated that I was willing to pay out of pocket and handle insurance myself. This was incredibly disappointing. I expected better service. To make matters worse, the agent put me on hold for nearly 30 minutes, only to inform me that my appointment had been canceled - NO NOTICE!!! ... read more
Parking a little difficult with a tall rig (local indoor garages limited to about 6'6"), but we found street parking a couple blocks uphill. Friendly staff, clean office, quick in/out for CT angiogram. Thanks!
Insane. First phone call was 45 minutes to schedule an urgent appointment. I did not get an email after so I called back; good thing I did as the date/time/place were not anywhere in the system. I would have driven an hour away only to have had no appointment. Was called at 4pm the day before and asked to come in an hour early due to needing oral contrast. (Nevermind this appointment had been booked three weeks prior..plenty of time to have communicated that.) My online prep instructions said nothing about food or fast... read more
