Welcome to Skagit River RV and Camping. We have been under new management now the last 2 seasons so look at our reviews from 2024. (formerly Alpine RV Camping) We offer a serene and family-friendly camping - tent or RV - experience. We are located only 20 minutes from the beautiful North Cascades National Park and across the road from the Skagit River. Convenient location near national park. Friendly staff. Sites are too close to each other. Also the sewer connection at the site we stayed and the one next to us was too far (almost 10 ft). The RV rental company had given us only 5 ft sewer hose so we had to use sewer connection at different spot where ground was uneven so dumping was messy. The next day we were given different site and all was good. Facilities were okay. Men’s bathroom needs good exhaust system. Got really foggy after someone took shower.
We recently stayed a few days here because of it's close proximity to Olympic NP. The campground is small but had everything we needed. The bathrooms and laundry were clean and in good shape and the grounds were well kept. The hosts, Gary and Linda are super nice and their little dog Molly is the cutest! It doesn't have the bells and whistles of some of the resort style campgrounds but we give it 5 stars for the hospitality. You often don't see that at other campgrounds. We would certainly come back.
The campsites are flat with a gorgeous view of the Cascades, the location is quiet and 15min away from the Visitor Center and the bathrooms (both men and women) are clean and secure with multiple showers (some showers are being renovated for the men). Also the communication?!? Amazing. Special shout out to Jolene for working with our party of 5 adults, two of which are older, when it seemed the website was glitching. I will definitely think of this site for my future trips!
Just a random stop to visit the North Cascades NP, but surprisingly nicer than I thought. This place is good example of “don’t judge a book by its cover”. The hosts are very friendly and the campsite is nicely kept and clean. 1) Full hook up 2) Fire wood available for purchase (CASH ONLY). 3) Decent size fire pit 4) No mosquitoes 5) Giant trees and nicely shaded 6) Generous amount of room between each site 7) Not many rules 8) Very quiet at night 9) Good wifi It’s about 18 minute scenic drive to the visitor center. This is one of the best campgrounds that I ever stayed in on my entire 5 mile trip across the country. The camp host were wonderful. They were always ready to answer. Question they didn’t seem to be bothered at all. If you called them they directed me to everything I needed told me everything that was thereand they were very informative.
