When it was built in 1911, the Woodruff Building was the first skyscraper in Springfield, MO. Fast forward to the 2000’s when things took a turn for the blighted & abandoned. A complete historic rehab and eleven floors worth of student housing later, though, and the things have changed. A sense of vitality has returned to a spot that stands tall in local history.

Almost 6 months here is taking everything in my body to not just leave and take the L on money place is nasty floor is dirty with sometimes animal feces on the floor/elevator then when you first get into your apartment get ready to sweep and mop about 10 times they don’t clean them when other tenants move out. this place is a complete ghetto slum owned by the slumlords park slum east. the second you walk into the building the aroma of urine,feces,weed and overall filth just overwhelms you. the entrance and foyer areas look like they have not been cleaned or vacuumed since this place was built. the downstairs restrooms had zero paper towels or toilet paper. the game room downstairs is always vandalized and destroyed. all the carpet on all floors is completely disgusting and rancid because of the combo of having enclose halls and tr... read more
I lived here from August to December 2022. We paid rent timely and moved out when our lease was up. Since then I have no idea they’ve been charging me for god knows what. I checked my Equifax report one day to see I have rental dues of 11,000$ from this place which seriously hurt my credit score! I still have the rental deed as proof and I went on to file a dispute. It was verified and today it finally dropped from my credit account. So save yourself from the hassle and DO NOT LIVE HERE.

Consistently found urine and feces in the halls, elevator, and lobby. There was one point where there was a large trail of pee in the lobby and I called to let staff know so someone could clean it. It took TWO DAYS before it was even touched and you could see it dried into the floor. This also happened with poop that was on my floor by the elevator doors. Took days before anyone cleaned it up.
