I am incredibly disappointed with Smith Douglas Homes because I did not get the home that I was promised. Many things were not done as they said they should be done and I would never recommend Smith Douglas Homes to anyone.
We have been living in our home for a month now and there are still outstanding items that need to be completed with now hurry from the builder.
Who wants to move into a new home and have to wait weeks, and in my case months for basic services? The his is not Smith Douglas’s first new subdivision so not having services set up is inexcusable. The excuse I got was “these Things are to be expected in a New subdivision “ and “we don’t know where the disconnect is”. No I would never recommend this nightmare to others
I've had several issues, just overall build quality. I've just put in a warranty request for my second-floor toilet. It's leaking at the rim. I can see out of the seal on my front door. It allows bugs and animals to come into my home. So, at this time, the rating will be a one.
I am not likely to recommend Smith Douglas Homes because there are things that I went over during orientation that my project manager pointed out such as stains in the granite kitchen counter top, popping and creaking of the floors, and they're still not fixed to this day.
The staff is very professional and nice, but the quality of the home is poor at best. I found a hole in bedroom in the ground, I found out the doorbell doesn't work. My foundation in backyard hasn't been leveled, and it's like a wave. The floor downstairs is an anomaly. When you walk, it's a three-foot bubble. My handrails are not tightened down. When you walk, the rail is moving. The windows are sticky, and they tried to fix it. I have to write a report this week. The garage door opener doesn't work, and I have to manually ... read more
Poor communication throughout the home buying process. Since purchasing my home the A/C unit has not worked. We have had a list of other issues.
Poor workmanship, garage left finished but unpainted. Large berm in the back that we may not be able to mow. Sod front yard only, the back seeded with???? I would NOT have bought this lot of I had known that it would not be somewhat level.
