Some things were positive and some were absolute shit. Some follow up work documented at closing not done. Landscaping not to community standards.
The homes and floorplans are beautiful. But the customer service Is severely lacking and honestly Post purchase it is completely absent
There is not enough space for my comment, feel Free to call me. However in brief, the LONG distance relocation/move we made was a nightmare with the purchase of a new build house from Smith Douglas and the sales lady here is horrible.
Very sad and a little disappointed to buy our first house in the US with SD. We are legal immigrants to this beautiful country, and for two years, we had been preparing to purchase our home. We dedicatedly saved the down payment and visited many new developments in the area. We were in a rental that we needed out of so we chose this location because it was next up. If I had known there was going to be this much discrepency from the show house, I would have walked away, immediately. We have been home owners before. Flat paint used on walls, cant clean them. Front porch poured out of code, standing water collects against a wall, warranty keeps balking at it. Another month or so and I will contact a lawyer. The sales team was good at communicating but the finished product leaves something to be desired.
The buying experience was great but once the building process started it wasn't good. Not likely to recommend.
I need a pipe cover on the size of my house, I was told 3 times or more it would be taken care of before I closed on June 20th it is still not taken care of.
Not sure if I would recommend Smith Douglas!
