Smith Douglas hire third party contractors to work on your home and they do a crappy job. The floors squeaking, doors won’t lock, holes in the wall.
I hesitate due to cracks in the stairs, nails being left in the sink garbage disposal, warped wall, multiple cracks/ discoloration in the foundation/ drive way/ back patio, and lifting on the roof that was addressed, but wasn't fixed. During the blue tape walk the outside of the house wasn't complete, so I was not able to adress some of these issues. You can start designing homes that are more home office friendly. You are lagging in technology. Your sales staff (Rikael) was great and project manager (Landon) are great but your electrical and low voltage people still think it's 1990.
Take no accountability in mistakes made on their part. Lack in communication. Cannot get ahold of anyone in management to rectify a situation or resolve an issue.
For the most part the quality is good. after the purchase one finds items and notices thing that were not installed. I.E. no toilet paper holders, no towel racks in the bathrooms. Now of the doors going outside are completely sealed. Each one has about a 1 inch gap in both bottom corners. Photos are available. Several nail pops. SoAlwaysme of the laminate flooring was hit to hard on the ends during installation forcing the end of the installed pieces to be slightly buckled.
The above rating do not demonstrate our true sentiment about SDH as a company. A series of events happened during the last days of closing, and we feel that we didn't received any support from the builder (SH). The seller in this case Jennifer Coleman, failed to communicate important information about the seller credits at the time of closing. We have been in our home over a month and still don’t have keys to the front door
There was a delay in the house building, which I understand, but when I say that something was wrong, they would bypass it. One of the ladies, Melissa, said that when I put in my furniture, I wouldn't even notice it. She knew that there were minor cosmetic issues and would just play them off as if they were not a big deal, telling me that once my furniture was put in, I wouldn't even see the mark.
One of garage remote is not working no response from you guys?
