They house is not built to quality the finish work is awful and the grading of the yard is a mess. Ths builder Brian is the only person I would recommend for anything. He has been nothing but nice and understanding.
Things in the house keep chipping or breaking
It feels like Smith Douglas Homes interrogates you a lot about your immigration status. It seems like they are overly concerned about whether you have an ITIN number. If you are a qualified buyer, that should be all that matters.
Communication was poor. Completion date was missed by over 30 days. Willingness to work with us on scheduling. Quality poor.
Not having any type of way to receive mail is extremely frustrating. I also was not informed of this until after closing.
Smith Douglas was great to work with. The salesperson and builder were great, but the preferred lender was horrible.
The seller could not get it together. Paperwork was lost. The final price was not the actual final price. I would never buy from Smith Douglas again I cannot as a buyer choose to back out of the deal due to the contract if Smith Douglas themselves make a mistake which they did when I was going through the buying process. My wife was unable to make any changes to the property before signing the contract. That small 2’x2’ backyard slab feels ridiculous and like a slap in the face.
Feels like the quality of the home and state of the home comes second when scheduled to close.
