Certain quality in the building process could use some improvement
There were many mistakes (sloppy work) during our walkthrough that should not have passed your inspection. There were something’s that were blue-taped that was not repaired on closing day. Also during our walkthrough on closing day, the shower door fell off the hinges and was supposed to be repaired before signing. However, the door fell off the hinges again later that night. That was a month ago and we are still without a shower door. Unacceptable.
There was little to no communication from start to finish on our new build home. We did not get the option to add things during the design phase, and only became aware as they were building and we would've had to pay an additional $250 per item to add. After the fact the home was closed on, there were still several issues that took 4-5 time to be completed the correct way.
cut corners, basic things you'd think come with a house do not such as door threasholds, garage door opener, finishing the walls in the garage as they connect to the floor.
There are still findings from my inspection that are still to be done and I get no proactive feedback.
Could be more helpful in with the salesperson being more knowledgeable with additional choices on upgrades and add-ons in choosing and paying for the items for change's. Also not feel rushed in making choices of flooring, paint colors, lighting etc; Just felt really rushed and wasn't told all that could have been chosen.
Who ever did the drywall work in the home did a terrible job. Some of the stuff that was supposed to be fixed in the walk through was not. After closing I found paint and dry wall compound spills all over the new carpet. Who ever did the tile work up stairs did a terrible job.
Inspection issues not resolved
Still waiting to get items addressed since closing. Please have builder contact me.
