Penny was great and still is. But the contractor Tommy is horrible. I’m my day of closing we came in for the final inspection but home has so much problems that even when Penny Smith Douglas employee gave up after going through the first floor. I have patch work that was done after painting was don and was not painted over. And some patch were not completed at all. My experience was not what I had expected. The project manager really didn't make my experience pleasant. It appeared to me that the punch list items were not performed with customer satisfaction in mind.
The biggest concern is the closing statement they failed to promise. There is an item that they need to replace during the closing. They had a closing statemen. They failed to do that.
Way to expensive for the subpar craftsmanship
Our experience with Smith Douglas has been a roller coaster. We have been lied to by an agent at a model, threatened to be sued, and some people were impossible to reach and did not communicate effectively with my agent. I had to go to the home weekly because I constantly found things that were broken or wrong and I strongly believe if I hadn't pointed them out, they wouldn't have been caught until it was going to be a MUCH more expensive or too late to fix.
