Everyday that I have stayed in my home I have came across an issue. Simple thing that you would think would be noticed. There were many promised made as far as these issues being fixed or resolved. Yet no attempt has been made to fix them. My windows will not lock or latch and none of them have a screen there are massive whole that was not finished or covered in any way. Smith Douglas Homes has delivered the worst experience ever.
I was very happy with the building process. Working in this field myself, I fully expected to find things that weren’t up to my standards. However, I was very satisfied. Your builder runs a good neighborhood. Any complaints my wife and I have are very small and cosmetic and to be expected in production housing.
This has been the worst home buying experience. The people think they are above giving their phone numbers to customers which is unreal. The sales girl didn't even walk the home with us she was too busy. So much wrong with the home like it was thrown together at the last moment. And it's been over a month and still waiting for things to be fixed. The guys are now trying to help since Luke lied about getting things done.
After closing, SD response to inquiries and repairs significantly slowed down.
I am undecided with recommending anyone to Smith Douglas. New home buying experience should be exciting and positive.
