That is a complicated answer because we love our home. That would be a 5. We had 9 days between the closing on the home we were selling and the home we purchased and they would not work with us. It cost us thousands of dollars. That kind of left a bad taste in our mouth. We could not get a commitment from them to work with us and they went so far to say they had other people interested in buying the home if we did not buy on that date. I bought a spec home and I was told everything was done so my blue tape walk through was a joke. There are sooo many things wrong and Jim just told me all was done. I was not treated like a true customer. Jim lied.

I know problems like the ones I have experienced are normal when purchasing a home. I would tell people what I have experienced but I would not recommend the company. I do not like to recommend people because if something goes wrong I don't want it to rely on me.
I can’t at this point recommend Smith Douglas Homes. I will continue to reassess and see if the will follow through and deliver with their commitments/warranty.
They purposely did not show us some items. We did not find out until after we bought the house.
They did not keep their promises to address and repair items in my home. I am not pleased.
