I cannot praise the staff and service at Chelmsford Snappy Snaps enough. They have digitised 30 years worth of family videos and DVDs in the most professional and efficient way. I asked if each item could be processed in a particular sequence and they honoured that request perfectly, going to the extra trouble of labelling everything in accordance with my spreadsheet. Rang with a quick query. Was met rudely, laughed at down the phone and told the shop was full of people so they were unable to answer a quick question. Didn’t recommend emailing or calling back just said I should come in person which I wasn’t able to do at the time. What’s the point in having a phone service if you can’t manage it.
Went to get my 35mm developed, they came back scratched (lots of black marks) very bad quality. When I questioned they blamed my film, my camera and accused the film of being from a disposable camera. My camera has never had this issue before and is in perfect condition, and my film was brand new. They suggested I “edit it the pictures”. Avoid at all costs as they refuse to take any responsibility for their rushed work
We do not recommend this store. The passport photo taken for one of our children did not meet the photo requirements for Australia (which was requested). We contacted the store as instructed in the digital photo email to request a refund as we had to go elsewhere and pay again for photos due to urgency - we don’t live local to the store and couldn’t easily return to the store. Fantastic experience. I had around 140 photos that I wanted backed up digitally and physical copies made. I dealt with Karl who talked me through the process and advised me on how to get the best for the lowest price. The pictures were ready a day early and everything was surprisingly cheap. Can't fault them.
