About this business

SOBREMESA is a Spanish tradition referring to the time you spend at the table after you’ve finished eating. In New Mexico, it’s a time spent engaging with friends and family, sharing stories and of course, drinking quality local craft beer. We’re proud to bring the newest restaurant & brewery to the west side of Albuquerque and look forward to meeting you all.

I had a disappointing experience at Sobremesa. The food was served cold on two occasions, and I experienced food poisoning afterward. While the service was nice and friendly, the server was nice to remove the food from the bill. However, that does not compensate for the three days I suffered from food poisoning. I ordered mixed tacos and IPA beer, and I am unsure whether the food or the beer was improperly prepared. I have also heard from friends that the beer is not good there. It is a shame because it is a nice spot. Jus... read more

Came here for dinner as a vegetarian because I was excited that that they had multiple options! Unfortunately I was let down by the food and sent my dish back because it was THAT bad. Everything looked so appetizing when it came out, but I ordered the vegetarian pozole and it genuine had no flavor. I know the flavor usually comes from the meat, but just because it’s advertised as vegetarian doesn’t mean it’s ok for it to have no flavor. My friend got a Cesar salad and the lettuce was brown. Overall I won’t be going back.

Ceviche- there is a few types of ceviches it needs to be explained in the menu which ceviche are you serving. 1- I get that the ceviche looks cool in a glass, but if the ceviche is chunky and you serving it in a glass make sure the glass is appropriate for what you trying to do. The glass was not the right size front. 2- Cumin took over the ceviche making the disk not pleasant to eat we only try one bite and the cumin was very punchy also the salsa for the tacos had a lot of cumin in it. We only took one bite of the cevich... read more

(02/14/24) Not a huge Valentine's Day crowd but we did wait a while because there was no host when we arrived. When we were seated the host was very accommodating in finding us a table closer to the beautiful fireplace. The server was very nice and personable. We ordered some drinks which were the highlight of the evening, perfectly crafted and tasting. The food was unfortunately a little sub par. Tacos were good in presentation but the tortillas they were in soon became chewy and did not taste super fresh. The salsa for th... read more
