Warning, do not go to this dr! She switched my daughters bipolar meds and then went out of town for a month. When she returned and met with my daughter she yelled at her for changing her dose and told her she should have went to the ER...hmm like the emergency room does ANYTHING for depression? She verbally assaulted her and did not let her talk to explain herself. She is arrogant and unreasonable. If you want a caring doctor try looking elsewhere.
Treats vulnerable patients very badly and unprofessionally. Denies needed medication. Does not care about patient's suffering. Prescribes based on her legal liability and not on medical need and patients symptoms.
The consultation I had with Dr. Encarnacion was absolutely a disappointment for lack of a better word. I understand she has the entitlement to medically discern who she treats but not to the extent of denying to treat a patient who has a prescription she needs filled based on her (Dr. Encanacion’s) belief and morals instead of factual reasoning. If I could give 0 stars, I would. She was incredibly rude and unprofessional. After no more than 3 minutes of speaking, she told me that she would not be taking me on as a patient for reasons she refused to elaborate on. It wasn’t until I spoke with the receptionist that she explained Encarnacion’s probable reasoning but even she agreed that it was unprofessional. AND SHE STILL CHARGED ME TO SEE HER??? TLDR: I had a similar experience to the other reviewers. Forced monthly appointments for routine refills, refusal to consider writing FMLA letter, and late to every appointment. In 2021, Dr. E forced me to keep monthly appointments with her just to get my regular ol’ Wellbutrin refills. Luckily, my GP took over this prescription, so I’m no longer enabling her grift.
