Generally same experience as the other reviews. Short and uninterested during each appointment, required me to meet with her and pay the copay every month for a routine antidepressant refill, I’ve never had a provider require this before. She doesn’t care about your wellbeing she just wants your money. Also didn’t inform me that she stopped accepting my insurance so I had to scramble to find a new provider and she refused to refill my prescription to bridge the gap until my scheduled appointment with a new psychiatrist. Warning, do not go to this dr! She switched my daughters bipolar meds and then went out of town for a month. When she returned and met with my daughter she yelled at her for changing her dose and told her she should have went to the ER...hmm like the emergency room does ANYTHING for depression? She verbally assaulted her and did not let her talk to explain herself. She is arrogant and unreasonable. If you want a caring doctor try looking elsewhere.
Treats vulnerable patients very badly and unprofessionally. Denies needed medication. Does not care about patient's suffering. Prescribes based on her legal liability and not on medical need and patients symptoms.
The consultation I had with Dr. Encarnacion was absolutely a disappointment for lack of a better word. I understand she has the entitlement to medically discern who she treats but not to the extent of denying to treat a patient who has a prescription she needs filled based on her (Dr. Encanacion’s) belief and morals instead of factual reasoning. Worst Psychiatrist scammer in town Sofia M. Encarnacion, MD 1.3 (37) Reviews says it all, she’ll take your insurance information and charge you after hanging up the call early, she doesn’t prescribe meds, and is the most unprofessional medical person I’ve ever witnessed, my girlfriend is in tears right now after that call she had with her.
