The facility itself was fine, but the billing is horrendous. I can't stress enough how much I would never visit this facility again, if only due to the billing. They wrongly charged me hundreds (!!!) of dollars for my procedure, and I've now spent months going back and forth to try and resolve it. They are well aware the charge was an error, and it should not be months to fix, but here we are. My overall experience was good after some follow up. The office was nice, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient. However, it wasn’t exactly clear when I would get my screening results. I called a few times after the first week and I was told it could take up to 14 business days but by law they have up to 30 days. I did get my results on business day 12 via phone call from the radiologist as well as via encrypted email, the results were also sent to my doctor. I think it would just be good to se... read more
I had an amazing experience at Solis Mammography in Washington, DC. This was my first mammogram, and I was honestly very nervous going in—but from the moment I arrived, I felt completely welcomed and at ease. Both front desk receptionists were friendly, warm, and compassionate, greeting me with smiles that immediately helped calm my nerves. The entire environment felt comforting and supportive. I can't speak to the quality of the actual mammogram, but the administrative follow-up has been terrible. Solis/Washington Mammography found a problem on my mammogram (I have had breast cancer before) and sent me a LETTER suggesting I have an ultrasound. No call, no text, no email, but a letter with no details and no copy of the report they said I was required by law to get. The letter said they had sent the results to my doctor, but they didn't. My own experience was good, and the technician was amazing and very kind. But after I sat down in the waiting room, another patient opened the front door and the front desk person called out "Screening mammogram?" The patient had to answer for the whole room to hear - she wasn't even fully inside yet, because she was holding the door for someone - "no, diagnostic".
