My fourth stay at South Hills Post Acute (SHPA) was a very positive experience and I particularly want to thank the therapy team. The Occupational and Physical therapists were knowledgeable, encouraging and sincerely invested in my recovery. They encouraged me to work toward my goals while always showing patience, compassion and respect. My Aunt had the unfortunate situation of being in 3 of these facilities in the Pittsburgh area over 6 months. South Hills was, by far, the best. Every staff member I worked with, both medical and non medical was on top of everything I asked about. They really cared. Like all of these facilities, they can always use more staff but the staff they have is high quality and that matters. No one wants to be in these types of facilities, but if it's needed, consider South Hills Post Acute.

This was, without question, the worst healthcare facility experience our family has ever had. I would never recommend sending a loved one here--especially a parent. My mother was admitted for rehabilitation, yet during the nine days she was there, she never received the rehabilitation she was admitted for. A physical therapist finally came to see her after she had already been there for seven days. By that time, she had spent most of her stay lying in bed. My loved one was a patient at SHPA for 3 weeks and was given only 1 shower/bath in her time there - no bedside baths. She came home with a raging groin infection and edematous legs - venous insufficiency. I would not recommend.
