DONT RENT HERE!!! I chose this place as thy offered a 3 month move in special. When I got the bill- they refused to honor it and said that price was on their old website. False advertising and an outdated website isn’t the customers responsibility. When moving in, I noticed my unit was in-front of a mold restoration company dumpster. Within two weeks, I noticed some items in my unit starting to mold (I’ve never had this issue) so I asked to move units. They said sure and would prorate my rent for the inconvenience. I called one day just to inquire about storage options. Then they followed up with me the very next day and I kinda knew I'd go with them because they made it so easy to just get started right away.
Overall very positive experience and the owner was friendly and helpful. There’s a couple reasons I put 4 stars rather than 5. I made a reservation for a unit online which was convenient, however the day I got to the facility it was really confusing. I never received any move in instructions or any type of welcome email and the only email I got confirmed my reservation but it said to arrive with my ID and check in with staff. Rented a smaller unit than I was renting at another storage facility on Vilas in Central Point, who after being a customer for over 6 years did nothing but up the rent, charged for everything and upped the rent every 6 months. Started with paying $80 for a 8x10 and ended at $150. They also closed way to early (7:00 p.m.) Hard to go during the week if you work until 5:30-6:00 everyday. Setting up a storage rental here was really easy. Clean location with lots of security to insure all things are kept safe. Overall I hope been happy with my experience at South Valley Mini Storage.
