My son did not immediately take to school. The first few weeks involved a lot of tears, however, his incredible teachers Ms. Norma and Ms. Isabella have been so dedicated to help him become comfortable. Everyone in the school from the moment you walk in is smiling and you can tell they really love to be there. This school is not inclusive. They could not meet the needs of my child. If your child has special needs think twice before bringing them here. The staff is just not trained to adequately handle students that need extra help in SEL. Extremely unprofessional.. HR did try to step in and help, but it was too late. My son endured extreme emotional distress on a daily basis for two months before I took him out. I was very disappointed by the way they handled my son. This is a wonderful school! My son absolutely adores his teachers who really helped him adjust to going to school/being away from mommy. The curriculum provides good structure/routines, and my son can say several phrases/words in Spanish! We are so proud that he has been exposed to diverse customs, culture, and traditions at SSH!
The staff and teachers are so warm and friendly, my 2-year-old loves coming to school. They are experienced, loving, calm, and professional. This school provides a wide variety of activities with lots of impressive art/fine motor activities, music/culture, literacy/numbers, and science. My daughter has started speaking some Spanish words spontaneously and even sings some Spanish songs at home, while continuing to grow in her English vocabulary at home with no issue. My family loves Spanish Schoolhouse NorthDallas. As soon as you walk in you get positive energy and smiles from the sweet front office ladies. The teachers, director and administrative staff are all fantastic! They always have time to greet my son and make him feel special. We love maestra Norma and maestra Isabella.
