What I wasn't told was that my property manager would be in Philippines and the only person who was local to Houston was sick for a week and then quit, so there wasn't anybody to even come to my property and get things started. My manager took a long time to reply or sometimes didn't reply at all. Doesn't seem to really care about tenants when multiple requests for repairs are made. Never once talked to a human, only different anonymous people through the propertyMeld chat app. Random fees that are unwarranted constantly. Wouldn't want to use this service renting my house or as a renter again.
Garrett and Hector at SPM made my transition effortless and Alexia was extremely courteous to follow up with me after my lease signing.
As far as Specialized is concerned, Paula Lozano has gone over and beyond trying to help fix this 50-year-old house. As far as the landlord, he is very difficult to deal with getting approval for certain major things that should have been addressed before I ever moved in. I still have a list and ducts still need to be cleaned, not only because they were nasty when I moved in but because I am on oxygen. DO NOT APPLY FOR A HOME MANAGED BY THIS COMPANY! I reached out to the agent, Garret George, by phone several times with no call back. I finally texted him and asked him if the property was still available and he responded that I would need to contact Specialized Property Management. I went to their site and completed the application sent in the requested documents including a 135 dollar application fee.
