I was adopted in 1969. I could not have asked for a better set of patents. Later when I was over 18 I contacted Spence-Chapin and they gave me all the info they had on my birth family. It was a private adoption and I was not given names. I was happy with the info that I received. The staff that helped me was kind and professional.
One of the best agencies in regards to adoption and adoption services in the nation. They offer home-studies, counseling , post adoption supports and social groups.
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable in their area of expertise.
It's not easy to do what is the best thing to do but after some reflection...it becomes more understood what the best thing to do is.
Our family used Spence-Chapin from 2014-2017 as our home study agency to adopt three times from China. We are a large family with Christian religious beliefs, and though we might not be a ‘typical’ family that Spence is used to working with, we were treated respectfully and we never felt judged.
