The oral surgeon that seen my daughter that he did not do her surgery was very nasty to my daughter and myself. He didn't even want to see her because he didn't do her surgery. My daughter is special needs and he opened her mouth so wide it cracked the corners of her mouth. Mind you she has just had all 4 wisdom teeth cut out on Monday the same week. Very unprofessional. We were told when we made the appointment that same day treatment would be completed. We arrived 15 minutes before her appointment to fill out the paperwork and give the insurance information. All that was taken care over. Waited for about a hour the receptionist called us up and informed us to called our insurance company because they could not verify it. This was the worst dental experience I have ever had. Highly do not recommend and will be finding a cleaner more sanitary dentist. 1. The person who took me back was rushing and then simply just left me in an exam room without saying who was gonna see me or how long it would be. 2. When they came back and asked me a few questions, they left the door open so the person in the room across could clearly hear what was going on. 3. There was a dirty used needle on the floor 4. I am very happy with Spencer Dental. I needed a tooth pulled. They are providers for my dental coverage. I stopped by to speak with them about my dental needs. They checked my insurance, made me an appointment, and Dr Boice was excellent. No problems. I highly recommend this office. I went to the office on Victory Blvd in Portsmouth, VA.
We started with Spencer Dental when my teenage son with braces needed a dental well visit and our former pediatric dentist refused to provide service to him since he got his braces on (kid has no cavities, good hygiene habits, so I am assuming it's because his braces made the dental check-up more time consuming).
