Just had a lap choly performed here yesterday and such a wonderful experience! Quick check in, walked down to the surgical area, and my nurses all along the way were amazing-Suzie Floyd, RN; Christina Hallman, RN; and Megan Dean, RN plus some help from Alex and Tammy. They were efficient and made sure I was comfortable, and did it all with a smile. Anesthesia staff and Joe, the CRNA, were amazing. I don’t remember much after being rolled from my pre-op room. This is our primary hospital for care, second to St.Mary's in Athens, and we have been users of this establishment since its conversion from the Ty Cobb days. BOTH "Etta" at checkin and really fine staff at Outpatient (Megan) were our caregivers today, and they both were OUTSTANDING in all ways, professionally, quality, double-checking, accurate, and very professional yet personable. I recently had my knee replacement surgery 12-4-25 @ Sacred Heart of Lavonia. Dr.Dorris is the surgeon. He comes there on Thursdays though his main office is in Athens. This location was SO convenient for me since I live in Lavonia. The pre surgical , surgical and post surgical experience was wonderful. Megan Dean handled my pre surgical interview. I want to Thank the staff at the hospital for taken really good care of my daughter. She went in for gallbladder surgery. The nurses Megan and Christina kept me informed about everything. The anesthesia nurse Ms. Paula and Dr. Paul Hogg were so nice and professional. Thanks again for everything!

Etta is one of the staff members you’ll meet in Registration. You’ll know her by her warm smile and helpful presence that eases your nerves. She takes her time and uses her knowledge to make sure your information is precise. She is such a kind person and makes the hospital experience less overwhelming and more pleasant. Thank you!
