First of all with all the poor reviews why is the response for you always the same. Reason for my visit severe pain in the abdomen after partial nephrectomy on Thursday. I spent 6 hours Saturday for a CT scan. First it was blood work with me telling the girls I'm a tough customer when it comes to blood work and IVs so after 3 pokes and no luck finally got the guy with the ultra sound machine and he got it first time. Even that didn't go well because 2 days later and it black and blue and swollen. CT scan went good then while... read more
They are professionals I'm all aspects. Better than any hospital o know and they have a full cafeteria that is like a restaurant on 6th floor is like a mall. It has 38 operating rooms. The doctors are exceptionally especially dr pesak. Best breadt cancer surgeon in the region. I HAD breast cancer she removed it.
Spent 3 hours in the ER before I left on my own. Was checked on by a nurse for 5ish minutes 2 hours into my visit. A medical history was never taken, and no details of why I was there. Was told I would see a doctor shortly, but that never happened. I understand if resources are thin, but just be honest with patients instead of string poor care alongside it. Don't worry though! Visited the ER for a mental health crisis. Waited for around 10hrs after being told a social worker would be called to speak with me. Never saw a social worker or doctor after sitting in the lobby/hallway hospital bed with other patients for hours. After multiple breakdowns and asking for an update, a head nurse stated they were waiting on the next doctor/shift, that her hands were tired, and apologized. I am baffled by the overall 2.7 rating review for St Peter’s Hospital in Albany. I went to the emergency room late one night about 930, from reception through discharge the nurses, transporters, lab techs, MRI, CT Scan, Ultrasound techs, doctors, dietitian, social worker….they were all the most professional medical staff I have ever encountered.
