I was lucky enough to get Dr. Weitz at the ER during an emergency procedure and been under his capable care for nearly 15 years. Confidence and trust with a great sense of humor!
Awesome MD. Knowledgeable and personable. I have complete trust in him.
Dr. Weitz inserted a stent after I was admitted to hospital in Schenectady suffering a myocardial infarction. I've said I would recommend him to friends and family but the truth is that living in the UK this is unlikely. This was a caring doctor with a good bedside manner and aftercare. Any grading of performance (which I am asked for below) is inaccurate based on geographical limitations.
Dr, Weitz is a physician who listens to his patient. His recommendations are practical and easily understood. He is friendly with a modest professional manner.
Without seeming slandering of Dr Weitz, just be aware that he is not open to fully listen and diagnose based on what you as a patient are feeling & experiencing. Did not have a bedside manner that was anything but demeaning or even somewhat arrogant. Cut my wife off when she asked questions or scoffed at her health complaints which got her referred to his office in the first place.
Although he had a good bedside manner and seems to be a nice man, and I'm sure any doctor can make a mistake in a diagnosis. That being said I would get a second opinion, If the report had not been reviewed by another doctor my husband might have had an issue before he got the surgery he needed.
Steven Weitz, MD has a 4.1 star rating with 8 reviews.
