Dr Yates diagnosed me with multiple myeloma after 9 other Drs misdiagnosed me and just gave me medicine that didn't help. Dr Yates told me the day we met that he knew what was wrong with me and that he would help me to have a better quality of life. He treated me with my first infusions that day and worked to get the terrible pain I was in under control. Dr. Yates took the time to explain my options for my treatment. He not only explained but also made sure that I understood what he had said. Many doctors will tell you what’s wrong, but don’t make sure you fully comprehend all facets of your condition and treatment. Dr. Yates is extremely engaging and doesn’t talk down to his patients.

Dr. Yates took over my sister's cancer case when her present oncologist moved away. I found Dr. Yates to be very professional in his knowledge and skills and interactions with my sister and me since I was made her healthcare power of attorney. My sister's condition had already reached stage IV when she started oncology treatment. Dr. Yates has a great command of memory and compassion for his patients and I found him to be great to work with since I am a professional too. I really thank him.
