I purchased a piece of property in Dewitt County Texas and closed through Stewart Title in Cuero Texas. The entire transaction was treated as if it were a burden to the agent there. She was unfriendly and I felt that my transaction was unimportant due to her preoccupation with larger parcels. After owning the property and given a clear title I have been informed by the tax office that there are past due unpaid taxes on this property .
