I do not, repeat do not recommend using Stewart Title. I refinanced my home and unfortunately my mortgage company used Stewart for the title of my home. They were supposed to pay all my credit cards and mortgage off but are still sitting on several thousand dollars that is supposed to be used for that. I had to call 5 days ago to get them to release my cash. Meanwhile they are generating interest on my dime. SMH
Working with Stewart Title has been the most chaotic experience of my life. There has been little communication about closing dates and times and none at all without me reaching out first and multiple times. On the day of my scheduled closing I could not get any answers or responses on details until late afternoon at which point they realized that documents that they were "missing" were actually sitting in their fax pile for more than a week.
