The representatives at Stewart ordered a mobile notary to meet me for a closing. The closing was pushed back 9 days because of the buyer's lender. They still sent the notary and charged me for it. Sydney Fulwilder and Heather Stevens both claimed I should have known to still meet with the notary. They said, "You should have told us you were not going to closing. You should have called the notary." They expected the customer to show up to a closing that wasn't happening or find and reschedule their notary.

I am a real estate agent and always choose Stewart Title for my title work. They are prompt, responsive and always available to answer any questions that may arise. I also like that they take the time at the closing table to explain each document that needs to be signed and again answer any questions. I haven't found another title company that has all of these attributes!

They handled the closing very poorly and it took me 1.5 years to recover what I was owed with the help of my CPA. the most astonishing thing, Is that when I arrived to their office with all the documents and was trying to explain the situation, the woman that handled the closing, was very unhelpful, very uncourteous, and said that their legal department though I was living in Guatemala!!! Extremely unprofessional. Stay away from them!
