My condo closing was delayed because Stewart Title never sent me the required title insurance form. Their system wasn’t compatible with my bank, and even after Treeforttech emailed them twice confirming the workaround, Stewart Title kept redirecting me back to Treefort instead of taking action. When you purchase insurance it’s something you hope you will never need but when the unforeseen happens you expect the policy to provide the necessary coverage. In our case through our lawyer, we had purchased the Residential Gold Owner’s Policy. Unfortunately, an issue arose with our property, and we filed a claim and to our dismay it was rejected. I just LOVE using Stewart Title Insurance (if not exclusively if we can). I am in Calgary and our representative Brent Cooper is just so hands-on and ALWAYS available. If for any reason, which is almost never, a file is flagged, I email Brent for help and he is already emailing/phoning/assisting me and whomever else to ensure the policy is completed very fast. We used Stewart Title for title insurance on our cottage. We purchased the Gold Policy and access was included in the policy. When we sold the cottage, the access clause had mistakenly been removed, apparently when we purchased the road allowance. Stewart Title was quick to find a loop hole to decline coverage. We recommend Stewart Title Insurance to all our clients. The Policy coverage is excellent. The ordering process is quick and easy. Their staff is helpful and pleasant, especially Michelle Wells in Business Development. And they have amazing Christmas Parties!
