I can't recommend Stone Sports enough for anyone looking to get into scuba diving. My experience with their Open Water class was absolutely fantastic. Rob is an outstanding instructor, patient, clear in his instruction, and always making sure we felt safe and confident in the water. I have 2 kids who are going to the class here. They love their instructor. The only thing I have a concern is that their customer service. They have a website to schedule absences and make up classes. But if you need more help you can't get in touch with a real person on the phone. I tried multiple times to talk to a person on their phone number, however it always hung on me after it gave me to choose from information lines. It is annoying. We have 3 kids who have attended Stone Sports each Spring or Summer over the past 8 years to learn water safety, how to swim & to work on technique. They began as babies & always look forward to their lessons. We LOVE Stone Sports because they are FLEXIBLE, REASONABLY PRICED, PROFESSIONAL & PERSONABLE! We highly recommend them!
My 3 year old daughter has been attending stone sports for a little over 2 months now and there are both good and bad aspects of this facility that I have experienced. My main concern is that boys over the age of 5 are being allowed into the women’s locker room. More than once I have gone in the women’s space and there are other girls including my own daughter that are actively changing and standing naked and I have several times had to stop boys from walking in. This place is a family-oriented business with excellent instruction, prices, and scuba vacations. I really recommend Stone Sports - the owners are husband and wife with 3 beautiful kids. Rob is extremely knowledgeable with lot’s and lot’s of dive experience. Get to know them, and join the vacation dive packages!
