The on-site manager at Storage Star self-storage on Old SewardHwy was very friendly and informative. I have an interior unit that is very accessible with strong lighting and a large cart to move items from the entry door to my unit. The location of Storage Star is very convenient to Southside neighborhoods along a major traffic artery. Rates are very reasonable. Highly recommend.
So far everything seems ok. The only negative comment is that I went to Storage Star's other location at 225 Boniface Parkway, Anchorage, Ak. 99504. I went there because I had to to rent a storage unit at the 11711 Old Seward location, and no one was at that location, so I had to drive to 225 Boniface Parkway location to rent. The negative is that I smelled cigarette smoke in the office- very strong. My understanding is that the city of Anchorage has a No Smoking ordinance in Anchorage area businesses. Service from Lorraine was 5 stars! Location and condition of units is good. Price is not as competitive as other storage in the area.
Staff was pleasant and helpful. Payment and process was efficient and fair. I was able to move into a unit within 30 minutes. So far, so good.
