The review is for the 2nd time, I had this company come out for foundation repair. Work was for, foundation warranty on work previously done and new foundation work to be done on different side of house. I contacted the company because of the day that was scheduled I had to work, and was unable to have anyone at house. I was promised by company, that they highly respected their foreman, and he would be the ONLY person accessing my home. That the job would take two days. (First day me being at work, and second day I would be ... read more

Since work was finished, 3-4 years ago, our house has broken into 3-4 pieces. Structured comes out and measures, and says that everything is level, Goodbye. Meanwhile the cracks get WORSE.

They rushed the job. The massive interior and exterior job that was scheduled for two-days was knocked out in one. Our sales guy promised that a couple of my favorite shrubs would be untouched - they were destroyed. Our sales guy also said that half our house would be blocked off with plastic to minimize the dust - that didn't happen. A sprinkler line was cut. Instead of telling me that they were not responsible for any damage, they strung me along for a week, then told me it was not their problem. The concrete they poured w... read more

Business response:

I apologize that you lost your shrubs. Foundation Repairs are invasive and we always try and tell customers that we can't guarantee the survival of their shrubs. (We even publish that on our website for transparency.) When we schedule a job we always schedule the job for more than enough time because we would rather under promise and over deliver rather than the flip of that. Just because the job was finished in a day doesn't mean it was rushed. Different crews have different installation speeds and it is not uncommon for us... read more

The job went well. Their representative performed an investigation and suggested that I investigate for a plumbing leak. At that time, their representative also stated that no foundation repairs were needed. They got it right! A leak detection plumber found and repaired a plumbing leak in the slab. I also sought recommendations from other companies who suggested immediate and expensive foundation repairs with multiple piers to level the house, before "it gets any worse". However, a licensed professional engineer suggested wa... read more

During the selling process they were great. I asked what could go wrong with such a big project and they said we had nothing to worry about - that our house would be easy. However that all changed when the project started. During the project they broke multiple pipes under our house (one in a wall!) and also cut through our pipes to our pool. They caused thousands of dollars in damage - it makes me simply sick. Our house is in worse condition than before they arrived. Not only do they not have insurance to cover any damage t... read more

Business response:

The company discovered sub standard plumbing under this pier & beam home, documented the information, took pictures and presented the information to the homeowner upon discovery. The pictures clearly show discolored and rotten wood from the existing leak. Our company is fully insured and the contract signed by the customer clearly establishes our company policies regarding plumbing. Not covering plumbing is an industry standard in the foundation repair business. In my 20+ years of experience in the industry I have never hear... read more

They told me I didn't need foundation repair! They did do some drainage work to keep water from standing around the foundation.

Business response:

Thanks for reviewing our company.

Before the men started I asked them that when that finished THE FOUNDATION if they would put mt bushes back down deeper and cove them up, because I did not want them to die. They were bushes that my Mother brought for me when I moved into my house. They did not do as I asked them and every one they dug up died because they did not do what I asked them to do. The Foundation was done OK.

This review contrasts my experience between two top foundation repair companies, Structured Foundation Repair (SFR) and Brown Foundation Repair, on the same job site, and at the same time. I reviewed both companies, and eventually decided to go with SFR, in part, because they claimed to rely on engineers and their promise of quick service. During my consultation with SFR, we discussed the need for repairs to my home’s foundation, as well as a semi attached garage and carport. The rep initially balked at making repairs to the... read more

Business response:

This customer originally asked us to look at a house and a garage/carport. It was determined that the garage construction was substandard and repairs, if any, would be limited and without warranty. The customer even went so far as to ask if the structure was a “tear down”. Structured agreed to attempt to repair the garage without warranty. During the repairs it was determined that the garage could not be repaired in the method we attempted. We advised the customer and discounted the repair to not include that structure. In t... read more

I have used Structured Foundation on several jobs before and stuck with them given the warranty service they offer on their piers. Unfortunately the last job went horribly wrong. After getting an independent engineer inspection (Crosstown Engineering), there was disagreement between the Structured Foundation engineer (Robert) report and theirs. I decided to go with the independent review which showed a previously installed set of piers by Structured Foundation were sinking yet again - these had been "adjusted" once previousl... read more
