The phone service was questionable. I felt like I was dealing with AT&T not a localcompany. When I indicated that we were looking for someone to evaluate our basement for a potential wall replacement, he asked if it was pier-and-beam or slab. I repeated that it was a basement. Apparently reading from a script, he asked the same question again, "Yes, but is it..." I know basements are unusual in North Texas, but seriously... I specifically asked for them to send someone who had experience with basements, and he responded, "... read more

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to review our company. I would, in turn, like to take the time to explain our processes and hopefully give you a different outlook on the events that transpired. On any given day we set between 25-100 appointments. The average time we spend on the phone with each customer is 4-5 minutes. We have a specific set of questions that we have developed in order to get enough information to schedule the evaluation and provide some history to the analyst. On the other hand, we want the call to be speedy ... read more

Business response:

Thanks for taking the time to allow us to bid your services. We are happy that you were able to find a contractor that met your needs. The bid in our system is actually $13, 935.00 which included initial and final engineering, and a post plumbing test as well as 32 exterior piers. When comparing bids it is always important to confirm you are comparing warranties as well. Our piers come backed by a true lifetime transferable warranty which can be priceless if you plan on selling your home in the near future. Again, glad to he... read more

called company to share my concern. I sent report per their request, but never heard back.

So I get the companies response, that says I never called or provided the address. Completely false, they are just CYI'ing

I provided the address to Angies list when I filled out the review and yes I did call and speak to the company and share my concern. I sent the report via email on Oct 1 to Heidi Morrison Operation Manager Structured Foundation Repairs, Inc. 972-484-1200

The address... read more

Business response:

Unfortunately the address this owner uses does not match any addresses of evaluation in our system. (I am guessing he did not use the property address when he filled out his review.) Since we looked at the property for the buyer, we don't have a reference for this homeowner. We would appreciate the homeowner providing the property address for the evaluation so we can properly respond and review internally. Our goal is always customer satisfaction and would hate for someone (even third party) to be disappointed without having... read more

I have had many many problems since the foundation repair, and have had trouble getting Structured to respond. At first I could not even get them to return my calls/e-mails. Then they were too busy to come out. Finally, when they did come out, I was not home and they told my mom they would send an estimate. They never did. Warranty is worthless if they won't even talk to me while my house falls apart.

In reply to the service provider's response, yes - I requested someone come that week, rather than several mont... read more

Business response:

The first recorded call we had from this customer requesting a warranty visit was October 23, 2012. A representative called the customer and he was unwilling to schedule an appointment for re-evaluation to determine whether or not the structure needed adjustments, stating he wanted a crew at his house that week and could not wait for someone to re-evaluate. On April 12th of 2013 the customer called again and we scheduled a warranty specialist to visit his property on April 23, 2013 at the customers convenience to determine i... read more

He showed up, gave estimates, and said that it would need 17 piers in front of the house. Also, he made a note that if they did any damage while doing the job that they would not be responsible or repair any damage that they caused

Business response:

Hello [member name removed] - Thank you for posting a review. We take our reviews very seriously at Structured. I have looked up your information in our system and see we actually looked at two houses for you. One did not need repairs and one we prepared an estimate for. I would appreciate some additional information on the "C" rating you provided for professionalism. This representative is highly requested and has been with our company for some time. If you could give me additional details I would be more than happy to addr... read more

There is more damage to the house than we initially had. None of the bedroom doors will close good now. The back door, where there was not even any piers installed, is very hard to close, when it was easy before. Plus, also on that back wall is the fireplace, which separated from the wall about 1-2 inches (and was not there before the work was done). There's a crack all the way from ceiling to the floor in the corner of one of the front bedrooms, and the ceiling has split in that room. The master bath shower door (frameless ... read more

Business response:

We first received a request for an inspection on 8-13-12. We visited the home on 8-16-12 (the summer is a very busy time for us, we typically inspect about 50 homes per day during this time of year and are typically booking those inspections several days after the initial call). Upon arrival, our representative recognized immediately that the home had severe settlement that would require a very invasive repair plan (piers installed on the interior of a home). Sometimes, when we tell the customer that they need extensive repa... read more

We had problems with this company from the very beginning. Very Poor with communication. Which should have been a warning sign. July of 2012 we had them come out and give a quote the day i moved into the house. We had to hold off for a few months while i dealt with everything else, but then called them back up early December to schedule the work to be done. They said that they were booked up till February. We agreed that would be okay, to put us on the books and they would call early February to let us know when they would b... read more

Business response:

Response to complaint: [member information removed], Dallas Texas This customer’s complaint is so filled with inaccuracies and distortions that it will take a while to cover. Her first complaint is that we had poor communication. That is simply untrue and the exact opposite of reality. We originally inspected this home for the agent representing her in early July, 2012. After she purchased the home, she had us back out to meet her and explain the repair plan. That was at the end of July. We explained the scope of work to her... read more
