I moved recently from Portland, Oregon to Atlantic beach, Florida. I needed to transfer my dermatology care to a local location. When I called they were incredibly efficient about getting me in because of two concerns of squamous cell cancer. They called me back as they had a cancellation so I was able to be seen even earlier. The lack of communication is amazing. The knew I was running home to get the the name of my last prescription that didn’t work so they would know what new prescription to give me and at 04:20 PM 40 minutes before the close no one would answer the phone!! It was just music. I checked the number again and no just music. I had to call an answering service and leave a detailed message for them and it’s 12:40 PM the next day and nobody has responded!! So happy to find this dermatologist! Not only were they able to get me in quickly, but they were efficient, professional and provided exceptional care. I went home raving about them so hard, so my wife became a patient as well. They also got her in within a week. I highly recommend this practice!
The dermatologist is great and I started with her at another location about 6 years ago and have had no problems with her. I submitted a request for a referral for medication as I have always done a month ago. No response. I called the office 7 times over the next two weeks and left voicemails each call. No response. I still haven’t heard back from them. If they haven’t closed down, they have lost my business.
Dr. Bernhardt is really thorough and really good at explaining what he’s doing and what he is finding as he is examining you. I was a long-term patient of Dr. Kartsonis and the transition to Dr. Bernhardt has been seamless and I’m very happy.
