We deeply regret purchasing this timeshare. What seemed like a dream opportunity has turned into a nightmare. We were pressured into signing during a high-pressure sales meeting that lasted 3-4 hours, with promises that we could sell the property anytime, make a profit, and travel anywhere at discounted rates. Our experience with Sunset World has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. We have tried to resolve our issues with them, even involving PROFECO, a Mexico-based regulatory agency. While we initially felt we were making progress- having made contact and even securing a hearing date. Sunset World has since gone silent. BEWARE!!! SCAM ALERT!!! Do not buy a membership without doing your researching and having everything they offer in the ACTUAL contract and not just on any other document as they will not honor anything written on a document other then what is on the contract. They do what I call a BAIT AND SWITCH. They offer rental income and 4 weeks every two years total and they did not honor it, turns out we only get 1 week and NO rental income. This is just to say a few things that they lied about.
Never ever get their vacation club package! They are confirmed to be scammers! What they say to have you buy their vacation club membership aka “Timeshare” is not in the contract. They will trick you to sign something digitally but used it to sign a contract that hasn’t been read through. And when you cancel your contract with them within 5 business days as stated in the contract, even in less than 24hours , even though you have all the legal rights as also stated in the Mexican Law, THEY WILL NOT RETURN YOUR HARD EARNED MON... read more
The resort we stayed at was great, this company...meh. I wasn't going to buy into a time share although at the very end they offered me a stay in Cancun, a 1 week world destination of my choice, and a package for 2 to Costa Rica for $1500. My theory of too good to be true was probably right. Also, just be aware of their employees at all times. They will do anything to earn a buck and DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU!
