My experience with my Endocrinologist Sylvia Rivera was outstanding I was just amazed at how caring she was took the time to talk to me and didn't rush me out. Her presence was a breathe of fresh air to know that I was going to get answers about my health and what has been going on with me. I had a 1-hour visit with Dr. Rivera regarding nodules on my thyroid. She answered all of my questions to my satisfaction and gave me all the time I needed to think about her responses. She didn't push me in any direction on my options regarding the nodules and fully supported my decision to get a biopsy. I found her a pleasure to work with and would recommend her to anyone seeking information and guidance on health issues.
I was looking for help for my menopausal symptoms. That’s why I went to the hormone specialist. Even though she doesn’t accept insurance. I was happy to pay the $500 consultation fee. I’ll do anything for my health. Unfortunately not help at all. Dr. Rivera gave me the same advice as my RN did. I am still feeling terrible. Very disappointed.
Dr. Rivera is an excellent, thorough, and thoughtful endocrinologist. I was most pleased. Be aware this is a "concierge/direct mnedicine" practice...The initial visit/consult is $500(a $100 deposit is required in advance of the visit), the balance is collected by Dr. Rivera at end of first visit. Subsequent visits require a "membership fee" in her practice of $200/month($2,400/year) automatically charged to your credit card. There is also an a la carte option at $500/visit. I was referred to.Dr. Sylvia Rivera by my PCP. A full blood panel was required in order for any doctor to review my condition. Since Dr. Rivera's office had a cancelation the following week, they scheduled me on that date. I called Dr. Rivera's office Thursday of the week prior, 6 days ahead of the scheduled appointment, to let them know I needed to RESCHEDULE my visit, since blood tests which should have been requested were not, some that were had been sent to an out of town lab and would not be available until mid- follow... read more
