This was my first time having lunch at Tabla, and I’m glad I finally stopped in. I went with the lunch special, which honestly is a great way to experience the menu if it’s your first visit. Two entrées, naan bread, a drink, and dessert—it felt generous without being overwhelming. The food came out fresh and well balanced. This place is amazing! It’s clearly a family owned restaurant with lovely people running the place. The food is delicious and portions are insanely generous. The value for your dollar goes far - each entree was easily enough food for two people. The samosas are the best I have ever had!!! I will be back.
We have tried Paneer Biryani multiple times via online ordering and everytime it is THE BEST ! But, this time we visited the restaurant for a Dine in experience. Overall the food was just okay ! We tried following :- 1. Papad - Complimentary - nice 2. Laccha Parath - Okayish 3. Dal Tadka - Plain and Bland - Avoid 4. Paneer Biryani - Just Okay - Too Spicy
Unfortunately 3 stars. As you can see from the photo Gobi is very mushy, and too oniony. Lamb curry was ok, just a little oily. Rice was bland and overcooked. 2 samosas for $6 was also ok but the flavor doesn't match the price. It had more dry edges than filling. I would not recommend this place
Latest update: Changed to five stars. I am continued to be amazed with new items in the menu every time we visit. This time cilantro chicken and tandoori soya chunks, both of were just simply mouth watering. Certainly the best Indian restaurant in the area. Apart from a standard menu, they keep changing the specials for the week. And now there is a welcome drink of cucumber juice with chia seeds and papad chips. Very thoughtful.
