This place is amazing, the food is amazingly. What's most important is that they wear gloves when they make and prepare food, for their amazing customers. Wow!
Burrito is advertised as $10 but then another $2 for meat. Not extra meat, but the ingredient itself. Why not advertised it as veggie burrito. If you get the combo for drink, rice & beans, or fries is extra $3.99 but it doesn't include your choice of agua fresca which isn't advertised. The hidden cost and last prices is not customer retention. Lil Village, Back of the Yards, and Gage Park got me to have Mexican food standards yet in the area and hungry Tacos Pros was easy access. Gross! Avoid this place. Sadly no Mexican's working at the "Mexican Cantina". Nowhere near authentic, just a cheap chain that I will not be going back to. I ordered a steak burrito online for pickup. Aside from the confusing customer service I received, the steak was chewy and had no flavor, as did the rest of the low quality ingredients within the burrito. The last straw for me was this huge tendon (pictured) in the steak that I could not chewy or even pull apart with my fingers. Salsa also had no flavor.
I came here for Taco Tuesday and had a great experience! Tacos are 2 for $4.99 on Tuesdays, and that includes the signature proteins like shrimp and steak. I really enjoyed the tacos with onion and cilantro, and the shrimp was the best. Customer service was top notch too!
Taco Pros is absolutely amazing! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Every bite tastes authentic, especially the tacos—they’re perfectly seasoned and loaded with delicious ingredients. The service is fast and friendly, and the staff always makes you feel welcome. The place is clean, the portions are generous, and the prices are very fair for the quality you get. This is hands down one of the best taco spots around. Highly recommend to anyone who loves great food and great service!
