I had a very disappointing experience at Tacos Pros on 5310 today. I’ve been a loyal customer and eat here almost every week, but the way I was treated today changed that completely. I wasn’t feeling well and, as a Chicago bus operator, I don’t always feel safe standing outside waiting for my bus. I chose to sit inside a place where I regularly spend my money. Quick, tasty, I would like the portion size of rice and beans to be just a little bit larger. The splash is delicious, i went back for more
Gross! Avoid this place. Sadly no Mexican's working at the "Mexican Cantina". Nowhere near authentic, just a cheap chain that I will not be going back to. I ordered a steak burrito online for pickup. Aside from the confusing customer service I received, the steak was chewy and had no flavor, as did the rest of the low quality ingredients within the burrito. The last straw for me was this huge tendon (pictured) in the steak that I could not chewy or even pull apart with my fingers. Salsa also had no flavor.
I had the Wells St location several times due to friendliness and outstanding food. Please do not visit this location. Visit the one on Wells St. by the time you ask for something it’s an extra charge. Actually it’s kinda insulting when they give you 2 small shots size salsas to go with your burrito. When you sit in a restaurant you get the whole bottle! Why in the hell would you charge for something stupid like that when I got as many as I wanted at the other location. Second time coming to Tacos Pro, and it was just as amazing as the first! The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and everything is fresh and flavorful. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommend!
