TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I have nothing but to feel impressed about this place. Dave’s Hot Chicken is a chain that serves what’s in the title. The decor is very hipster & urban and very graffiti-like. The service was quick and they did a good job serving us. The chicken itself has a chili seasoning on it, but it’s excellent! I especially liked the slider with cheese. However, I thought some of the portions are very large. However, it’s still excellent in every regard. Overall, would recommend.
First time here. The chicken was AMAZING. I ordered Dave's #1 . Two HUGE, mild, tenders, fries, sauce and fresh pickles. I’d heard that the spice was pretty hot, so I played it safe with “mild”. It was very tasty, but I think I can handle more 😄. I have eaten at a lot of “chicken places”. This is the best. The chicken is cooked to perfection. Very tender and juicy. The coating is spicy and delicious- I really loved it. I will be back.

My daughter's order was perfectly cooked. She had the 2-count chicken tenders. However, my and my husband's order was not cooked. We had the Dave's bites (1) 10 count with fries and (2) 10 count without fries. The chicken was raw (and some pieces were partially cooked). I also asked for the kale slaw, but it was not in the bag. My First visit. Food was Better than I expected. Service was very good. I ate inside. Dining room was clean. I am not a fan of the unisexed bathrooms. The Male customers are disgusting. Not mindful of Female customers. Toilet seat up and urine all over. No paper towels. I let the staff know.
