Dr. Futrell has been my doctor for over a decade and her care has significantly improved my quality of life. She listens, understands, and cares, and her recommendations work! Once she called me personally to help me resolve an insurance issue. When she moved her practice from the next town to 30 miles down the road, I kept her as my doctor without a second thought.
I have read the other reviews which made me concerned. My shoulder doc referred me to her for a guided injection. Dr. Fortrell is great, answered all of my many questions, went above and beyond by giving me some exercises to do. The injection was practically painless, a short pinch, great technique. She is friendly, explains things in an understandable manner. The staff in Springfield are great as well. I would not hesitate to recommend her. Reviews should be about the doctor not the staff and this is one fine doctor.
Dr. Futrell and her team were outstanding. She is an excellent listener and engaged me in a very professional way. She was thorough with her explanations and I felt reassured by her knowledge. I highly recommend Dr. Futrell and her team.
Excellent doctor. Takes her time. Very thorough. Took her time to listen to my complaint. I really felt heard and listened to. I would recommend her to any of my friends who need a muscular skeletal or sports medicine physician.
My daughter had a very serious injury to her foot. Dr. Futrell was excellent. We had many appointments with her over a 5 month period and Dr. Futrell always took a lot of time with us. She never rushed the appointment, answered many questions and made sure my daughter received the best care. I would recommend Dr. Futrell and her staff to anyone.
Dr. Futrell helped me deal with my swollen knee due to a torn meniscus. She explained to me in an easy to understand manner my situation/condition, my options and what activities I should be wary of. Dr. Futrell drained excess fluid from my knee which alleviated my pain considerably. I would highly recommend Dr,Futrell.
No bedside manner at all
I went about two specific problems. She gave me some vague possible diagnoses and advised me to go to PT. The people she recommended within the same network (Baystate) were all over the place and not helpful. I went back to Dr Futrell and she and her trainer were somewhat curt (I felt I had to be overly nice) but gave me a regimen to follow on my own which was what I wanted. When I got home I saw it contained an impossible to follow return to run regimen and exercises from a "Crossfit Guru".
