I opened up to her about struggling with coming to terms with my gender identity and she tried to tell me that gender identity and sexuality are the same thing and that I’m just gay and confused and making things complicated. She forced me back into the closet for months. She also prescribed me a medication that caused me to have by far the most intense suicidal ideation I’ve ever had.
Experience was excellent. Very professional and engaging. She listened to me and addressed my concerns. She made me feel very relaxed. Feel that we will have a very good relationship.
I have enjoyed working with LifeStance for the last couple of months. Every one has been polite and informative. I feel as if Dr Hicks truly listens to my concerns and cares.
