5 years ago I left the overcrowded and loud Fitness Connection near me. This gym was like coming to a fitness oasis. The equipment offers all the equipment I could ever want from a gym, including a seated trap lift with free weights that is great for a bad back. The staff is awesome including those who take care of the cleaning. Lorenzo, the new Mgr. Is outstanding and even takes the time to put weights away as his time permits. Trainer Mark has made my experience at Texas Family Fitness the best gym experience I've ever had. I'm a senior citizen, and when I've had trainers in the past, the experience caused both performance anxiety and even injury, which is why I never went back to those gyms. Mark met me where I was at with encouragement and an appropriate training program that is designed for my success and ability. Texas Family Fitness was an awesome gym and had everything I needed! Sadly, I have moved to another state so I can no longer go there. But when I moved there was complications on their end with canceling my membership, which was really frustrating. But Ridges, the manager here, was SO kind and helpful in figuring it out. He contacted corporate, told me what I needed to do, and got it squared away. Been looking for a gym to start working on the six pack that I’ve been wanting for the last 10 years. It is hard to find a good gym with good reviews so after doing a bit of research, I decided to give Texas Family Fitness try because they don’t require yearly commitment and seems to be the most affordable in the Richardson/Plano area. Absolutely crooked company. I've been attempting for weeks to cancel a simple month to month membership. So far, they've outright refused to help me in any way. I've visited different locations asking for help, some even laughed. Tried "customer service," they've also refused to cancel it thus far. I'll keep trying, but I don't wish this on anybody. I've joined many gyms throughout the years and I've NEVER seen such blatant mockery disrespect from a company.
