Friendly staff, good machines however since Planet Fitness took over the facilities are going downhill. The gym is extremely dirty. Huge dust clusters under every machine that could easily be swept or vacuumed up but I never see anyone doing that. Pipes are rusting in many places.
I've been a member since 2013 and I wish this is what all Planet Fitness looked like from the beginning. I would have given this a 2 star but I have been impressed by this location because it does not resemble a planet fitness anymore it looks like an actual gym where I'd want to come workout. Hopefully other Planet Fitness follows this trend.
TFF was my first & favorite gym and I was really disappointed to see the news of it becoming a planet fitness, a chain that I've only ever heard negative things about. I think the communication could have been handled a lot better than a brief email and instagram post the day of the change, but the transition was easy enough; I just walked in, they pulled up my account from my phone number, took a new picture, and I was good to go. The gym is spacious, lots of different equipment, Nautilus machines are awesome, lots of cages, and options for everybody. However, the gym is starting to fall apart. Their maintenance efforts are lacking. The equipment is breaking and takes a while to repair. Lots of tore up bench and pad covers, broken cables, out of alignment weight stack rods, etc. It is very crowded at 5am and at 8am. It only has one incline bench and one Smith Machine. Always busy. Reposting my review as it looks like Planet Fitness paid google to take down all the 1 star reviews. This place was great when it was Texas Family Fitness, but the dirty dealing and not notifying members was underhanded. A month ago this Planet Fitness was at 1.2 for the stars, now it's back up to over 4 stars. Again, just a way that the big Planet Fitness money destroys good local gyms.
