My partner and I wanted some BBQ a couple weeks ago and wanted to try somewhere new, so we headed here based on the ratings. It was so good we actually went back a second time already. We ordered the “Three Yard” which lets you try 4 sides and 2 of the meats. We ordered Caesar salad (forgot to take a pic), fried pickles, Mac and cheese, and curly fries, and brisket and lamb for meats. Amazing food!! The brisket was so tender and soft with the flavour being very delightful. The chicken poutine is a must try as well, great portion and lots of chicken in it. The lamb is sometimes a hit or miss. It has the flavour but at times taste a little off. Very tender and soft none the less and great with the brisket sauce they give on the side. Overall great for dates and celebrations!! Staff is friendly and lots of seating.
One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Edmonton! We visited Backyard Smokehouse and the food was incredibly delicious — every dish exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful experience at The Backyard! The food was delicious—flavorful, well-portioned, and definitely worth the slightly higher price. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, even accommodating our request to switch to a larger table when our group grew. First time at this restaurant. Food, service, atmosphere everything was extraordinary. Tried a lot of their menu options. From burgers, the best one by far is the Backyard Burger, it’s their signature. Beef Back Rib was really nice. If you order the Brisket make sure you specify the level of tenderness/ dryness; it was a bit too dry for my taste, but it’s to be expected of Brisket. I really appreciate the fact that they serve halal. Will definitely be coming back!
