My husband and I recently dined at The Butcher's Cut in downtown San Diego and had a mixed experience. We had a reservation and were seated promptly, which was great as the restaurant wasn't very busy at the time. The atmosphere was pleasant and inviting, though the theme of the restaurant wasn't entirely clear to us. Service was attentive--perhaps a bit *too* attentive at times. Food; Salad (the wedge) was amazing (i forgot to take picture) 5/5 Pasta was standard (vegetarian linguine) 4/5 Meat (tomahawk 32 oz.) was standard 4/5 Cheesecake was not bad 3/5 Ambiance; Ambiance was nice but it was a little cold inside, I didn't like this. Came here for my birthday dinner. We started with the wagyu meatballs and best meatballs I've had. Would come back just for those juicy delicious meatballs. They go so good with their accompanying sauce and bread & butter they serve. I saw the table being served their meals which made me narrow my choices to the pappardelle wagyu ragú and the lamb chops. Food was great but a lot of the food on the menu had no pricing. Just know it's going to be expensive either way. again tho great food.
This was an amazing place! We got in and had a great seat outside with excellent views of all the halloweeners. Our Waitress, Nikkie,, was amazing! We had the 22 ounce bone in rib eye, the potatoes and the bacon corm! That was incredible. Nikkie recommended them and she was spot on. Atmosphere is great! Service was amazing and the food was DELICIOUS! Francesco is THE BEST! Ask for him when you dine in, you won't be disappointed.
Great food, great ambiance and Francesco was very accommodating! Crab cakes- outstanding! Kobe beef carbonara- super yummy! Rib-Eye- great.. love me some steak! Garlic mash and bacon corn were excellent sides! Will definitely recommend and return when next in SD!
Had an amazing dinner at the steakhouse. The steak was cooked to perfection, and every side dish complemented the meal beautifully. Our waiter, Francesco, was attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better with his recommendations. Highly recommend.
