The food and drinks were very good. The staff was super sweet. We had the bread for starters, T-bone steak, filet mignon, twice baked potato, lobster Mac and cheese, coco margarita and emmers drink. Chefs kiss would definitely come again when we are in SD.

We popped in here for happy hour (daily from 4-6) on a Saturday and were happy to find it not too busy. Happy hour is only at the bar and our bartender was great and attentive. This crab cake was to die for. Perfectly crunchy on the outside and flavorful on the inside. The wagyu tacos were loaded with meat and really tasty. Slightly hard to eat with so much in them, but I'm not complaining! Raviolis were good as well. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.
The place was great, the food was delicious and the staff was amazing, Cari the hostess was better than most, she spoke to everyone who stopped to see the menu and several came in. Service great, staff amazing! We were celebrating our 35th anniversary and they brought a complimentary dessert. We sat outside and all the lights were nice.
Butchers is one of my favorite spot in downtown, cause first you can have a deep conversation isn't loud like others places, and very important, high quality wine and steak... thanks guys for you service. Ask for the tomahawk !!

Butcher's Cut has the best happy hour in Gaslamp! The food and drinks are incredible, service is stellar, and you can't beat the ambience inside. Must-try spot!

We tried their happy hr menu.. we ordered wagyu tacos, ahi tacos, oyster, tuna ceviche and empanada. Theyre okay. Couldve enjoyed it better if the chips werent stale... its disappointing.. it really tasted old. The service is okay. Nice interior, it just smelled weird in there. Could use some air freshener.
